The M膩ori Liaison provides pastoral support and provides opportunities to connect you with iwi hapu and marae roop奴 and community support groups. M膩ori Liaison also liaises with 星空天美MV视频播放staff to provide access to academic support to facilitate learning as required. The M膩ori Liaison is also the coordinator of Te Awa Rau M膩ori Mentoring programme and provides scholarship information.

Te Awa Rau M膩ori Mentoring programme

The programme offers regular hui to support social, cultural and academic learning. Our M膩ori Liaison is leading the mentoring programme. Under the supervision of our M膩ori Liaison, the mentor/mentee relationship begins with an initial meeting and will be reviewed on an on-going basis thereafter.

A M膩ori Mentor/Taurapa is a positive role model who meets the same M膩ori Mentee/Tauihi on a one-to-one basis for a period of time no greater than four hours per month. Mentoring is a paid position. Training is provided at the beginning of the programme for the mentor and an induction meeting for the mentee.

It offers the opportunity to build on the success of existing strategies, while integrating new ideas and practices which will provide a direction for 星空天美MV视频播放in the future.

It is important to 星空天美MV视频播放to give meaning to our commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi by encouraging M膩ori students to study and achieve success on our programmes. It is important to the individual student who identifies as M膩ori to enable their future career success. It is important to our community and the industries and organisations within it to meet skill and employment needs.
